Boy Scout Program - Soil and Water Conservation

 

Description: Two of the most basic resources for us and environmental needs are often over looked, soil and water. A full morning of activities has been designed to help you fully understand your dependence on these two simple resources.

Details:Dress for the weather and learn what makes these two simple yet complex resources so important to our every needs. Help us plant the meadow with native wildflowers by making seed bombs. Look up your water shed address and see what impacts you may have on it while also learning the basic science behind water and soil science. Dress for the weather and bring a snack if you like. To register, please call the Kellogg Environmental Center (203)734-2513 to check space availability and to obtain a registration form. Return the completed form along with payment to Kellogg Environmental Center, PO Box 435, Derby, CT 06418. Registration is not complete until the form and payment are received. Payment will be returned if the workshop is full.
