Connecticut Non-Point Source Pollution Projects

2005 - 2010

Connecticut DEEP's Nonpoint Source Pollution (NPS) Program administers a Nonpoint Source Grant Program with funding from EPA under Section 319 of the Clean Water Act. Nonpoint Source Pollution can affect water quality when precipitation runs off our roads, parking lots, rooftops, treated lawns and developed areas carrying pollutants originating from diffuse sources including human activities, pets, wildlife and atmospheric deposition. The Nonpoint Source Grant Program works with stakeholders to implement projects that reduce pollutants such as pathogens, nutrients, metals and hydrocarbons from entering our state's waters.
