Long Distance Hike: Brown Hill Marsh Loop

Join Goodwin volunteer and happy hiker June Powell for a long-distance hike through Goodwin State Forest. Powell is an active AMC hike leader who has led many walks throughout Connecticut. She has also hiked around the world with AMC and Sierra Club.
Hike about 4-5 miles around Brown Hill marsh, through pine/oak forests, and along Pine Acres Pond. We will also hike the Air Line Trail for a short distance. Traction devices may be needed if icy. The hike is on mostly flat dirt paths with few rocks. There is a chance to leave the hike early after about 3 miles.
Meet at 10:30 for prompt start at the 23 Potter Rd parking lot across from Goodwin Conservation Center. Please bring hiking footwear, lunch and water.
